Melissa Magee took ownership of the business in 2020 from an established partnership that had spanned more than 70 years. She joined the business in 2007 and worked full time while also studying for her RIBA Part 2 and Part 3, achieving Chartered Architect status.

Melissa is a vastly-experienced architect who, for the last 18 years, has specialised in the design of care accommodation for the elderly. Her expertise covers all types of accommodation from inception to completion and her knowledge of the care sector enables her to give in depth advice and add value at each stage of a project to ensure the best possible outcome.

Carless + Adams works with 15% of UK care operators and the growth strategy has seen a 18% growth year on year, as recognised by the Thames Valley Business Magazine top 100 SME growth awards and also as Architectural Practice of the Year in 2023.
