Colin has worked in nursing since 1992, initially as a nursing assistant, completing his registered nurse training in 1998. Since then, he has worked across a number of NHS and independent sector providers, as well as serving as a nursing officer in the Royal Air Force. He has held operational and professional leadership roles covering community and in-patient services within mental health, learning disability and physical care services. Colin joined Priory in 2019 as group deputy director of nursing and then was appointed executive director of nursing and quality. Colin was appointed into his current role last year and leads on the operational and strategic approach to quality within Priory, with a key focus on ensuring high standards of care. He also acts as chief nurse and he is the nominated director of infection prevention and control.
