Charles is the Director of Anglian Care and Ashley Care, two homecare providers based in Essex. Ashley Care has been able to achieve an improvement from being rated “Inadequate” to “Good” by the Care Quality Commission within the first 18 months of ownership. This was in addition to Ashley Care being featured in the Capturing Innovation to Accelerate Improvement CQC publication and the State of Care report for the innovative work to provide a Falls service within Southend.

Charles is a Health and Social Care consultant with MOONHUB, a leading virtual reality training provider. Charles has worked with Leeds Beckett University and MOONHUB to produce a study into effectiveness of virtual reality training in homecare that will be released in due course. 

In 2023 Charles was enrolled as a Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System (NHS) Innovation Fellow for the development of Emma AI. Charles cofounded Emma AI last year in order to improve the care they are delivering at Anglian Care and Ashley Care by using Artificial Intelligence to provide personalised and predictive insights to power future care delivery.
