Avnish Goyal founded Hallmark Care Homes in 1997. He is also the executive chair of care home construction company Savista Developments and new assisted living brand Santhem Residences. He also chair of Championing Social Care and The Hallmark Foundation, and is the founding trustee, now patron, of The Care Workers’ Charity. In 2020, Avnish and his wife, Anita Goyal, were named as ambassadors for the Alzheimer’s Society and together they run The Hemraj Goyal Foundation. In 2022, Avnish was awarded a CBE for services to social care and philanthropy.
