As a Chartered town planner, Andrew provides expert town planning advice to a range of clients, including the UK’s leading private care home and retirement living operators and NHS Property Services.  

Andrew devises and implements planning strategies to help his clients in securing planning permission and compliance for their projects and assets which ultimately ensures the delivery of new care accommodation and health facilities. He understands how the Care Quality Commission standards influence the operation, siting, layout, and design of care development, which is integral to how new development is promoted.

To date, Andrew and his team have secured planning permission for 2,726 care and nursing bedrooms across the UK since 2010, and have over 1,000 new bedrooms in the pipeline. Andrew’s role as an expert town planner ensures that the critical need for modern and fit-for-purpose accommodation for the elderly is deliverable and supported by the community and authorities.
