Alison O'Donnell
Alison is a nurse with 30 years’ NHS experience in acute and community healthcare settings. Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust delivers care to adults, children and young people requiring physical and mental healthcare in the community, employing more than 7,000 staff providing 1.8 million patient contacts yearly. Alison’s role entails implementing education and training that meets the needs of services, staff, patients and the health and social care system. She leads on work experience, workforce supply, professional development, apprenticeships, training, learners and student placement and supervision. She chairs the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Learning and Development Lead Alliance, a peer network offering expert advice and guidance to the integrated care system and partners. Alison has a master’s degree in leadership for health and social care and has an honorary senior lecturer position at the University of Leicester.
