Mike is the owner of five care homes in North Yorkshire and is also chair of the North Yorkshire care providers association, the Independent Care Group. He is a campaigner and lobbyist for care home reform and gained national attention when former politician Ed Balls came to work in his care home for his Inside the Care Crisis television documentary.
